It’s Monday, so we’ll keep it short and sweet. Here’s a few highlights from this year’s Outdoor Retailer. Check out Sanuk’s very own spiderman, Chris Sharma, doing his thing….
Surf camps are what summer is all about. Good thing Billabong runs a series surf camps all summer long to make sure the groms get the summer they deserve. Truckload after truckload of SPF125 is unloaded every week as hundreds of little gremlins take to the beach.
The goal? Get kids in the water and give ‘em the “surfing bug”. It’s a simple concept that keeps the smiles flowing. At a recent stop in Santa Barbara, Sanuk dropped by to apply some of that SPF and a few mustaches too. Here’s a few shots from the summer:
The insta-fun has arrived.
Billy the Kid lives the dream.
The welcome mat from a few salty Santa Barbarians.
Sanuk’s Quentin Turko and Stevie Pittman have been groms on a mission! Recently, in the 2010 Rip Curl GromSearch, the boys put on quite a show. Conditions were flawless in North Carolina as Quentin took the top spot in the 12 & Under Division and Stevie bagged 3rd. Heck yeah!
Sanuk’s Shayne and Shannon McIntyre live the life most of us only dream about… They have been to more countries than our intern can even name. They have savored foreign delicacies that most noses don’t even get to sniff. Not to mention all the empty surf they stumble upon….
But, while it may seem like non-stop suntans and mai-tais, things can get quite interesting. Don’t worry folks, these family-first humans are professionals. Good thing our friends at Fuel TVare always there to document their travels for “On Surfari“.
In this new episode, the family jets over to Haiti to get a closer look at what living conditions are truly like in the areas ravaged by January’s massive earthquake. Turns out Shayne and Shannon discover a completely different picture than one painted by news agencies. “On Surfari: Haiti” airs this coming Monday, August 23 at 8:00pm ET (5:00pm PT) and telecast several additional times.
