Sanuk has moved to Tumblr!

Yep, we’ve created fresh, new home for all things smile-worthy.

Please note we will be transitioning all future blog efforts from this location over to the Official Sanuk Tumblr.

If searching the magical Interweb for good vibrations is your schtick, you’ll want to follow us @ www.sanukfootwear.tumblr.com

Fair Warning: If taking life too seriously is your M.O you may want to reconsider following us. That’s why they invented libraries after all.

#Sanuk on Instagram!

Thursday, July 7th, 2011

Alright all you iPhone usin’ hooligans (sorry lesser cellphone loyalists), are you gettin’ snappy with Instagram?

Yeah? Us too! (…well, some of us). Did you know you can show off your “artsy fartsy” Sanuk photos on our Facebook Page with the greatest of ease? True story dudes and dudettes.

Simply snap a photo of your kicks in actions and hashtag it in the comment field with #Sanuk and they will magically appear in our NEW Instagram Tab.

Press “Done” and… Voilà, you’re on your way to becoming the coolest kid on the block (And by block we of course mean Internet. Duh).

There’s already a handful in the ever-growing collection, so let’s have some fun! Oh, did we mention it’s free? Because it like, so totally is.

To see the tab and the goods, visit: http://on.fb.me/SanukInstagram

**Note: If at any point during this post, the thought “What in blue buffalo chips is Instagram?!” ran through your pretty, little head… may we suggest a prompt Google search. Then join the party. If this ain’t for you, that’s cool too. You’re still rad in our eyes. Except that one dude – He’s still a jerk.

Music to Make You Move: Nick Saxon

Tuesday, July 5th, 2011

G’day happyheads!

In case you hadn’t heard, our friends at Sanuk Australia are dishin’ out good vibes by the truckload. Every now and then, their trademark, smile-worthy ways make their way above the equator for a visit.

This summer, we had the privilege of meeting, mingling and jamming with Sanuk Australia’s beloved soloist/singer/songwriter/producer, Nick Saxon. Nick hails from Newcastle, NSW and has a sound all his own.

His rootsy, euphoric beats provide the jog for the high-spirited and soothe the souls of all. You know? The kind of stuff you’d want soundtracking your sun-soaked daydreams of an adventure “down under”.

Wouldn’tcha know, it’s been 12 months since Nick released latest album, “Hide & Seek“. Since then, Nick has been around the globe (even stopping by Sanuk HQ), to discover firsthand the “highs ‘n lows” of life as an international touring artist.

From Aukland, NZ to New York, USA & back again, Nick’s last trek sold over 3,500 copies of his album worldwide, clocked 50,000kms in travel, 200+ live shows and countless amazing encounters.

With such an incredible journey under his belt, Nick recently announced that he’ll be heading back to the studio to record a brand new EP. (Insert massive, shiny smile). Quite frankly, we’re so excited we just had to share! Kindly enjoy this sneak peak:

Summer Steez with Kid Creature

Thursday, June 16th, 2011

Lookin’ to spice up the summer with some new threads?

Our pal, Cal Saxton (Kid Creature), has some new merch available! This time, he’s cooked up a creepy collaboration with surfing’s golden boy, Dane Reynolds.

In February, Cal went to visit Dane at his humble Ventura abode. Los dos amigos “got a surf in… went over the falls a couple of times. Got some of the best tacos & Cokes at a Mexican food dive (If it has orange walls you know it is good). After, [they] drew some sik drawings like the Banana Hammock Head Hunter you are looking at right now” says the Creature.

Best part of all, 10% of profit on all Kid Creature swag goes to fighting cystic fibrosis. Now that’s something to smile about.
