Sanuk Applies the SPF (and Smiles) at Santa Barbara Surf Camp

Friday, August 27th, 2010

Surf camps are what summer is all about. Good thing Billabong runs a series surf camps all summer long to make sure the groms get the summer they deserve. Truckload after truckload of SPF125 is unloaded every week as hundreds of little gremlins take to the beach.

The goal? Get kids in the water and give ‘em the “surfing bug”. It’s a simple concept that keeps the smiles flowing. At a recent stop in Santa Barbara, Sanuk dropped by to apply some of that SPF and a few mustaches too. Here’s a few shots from the summer:

Thursday, July 1st, 2010

A couple weeks ago, we brought you a little ditty on Seth Pettersen and his musical ensemble, Franklin For Short, as they started their East Coast Tour. Well, things have concluded and it’s safe to say the endeavor was one for the record books. Below are some great moments on The Kings of Convenience Tour courtesy of Franklin For Short… Who came up anything but as they scooted from gig to gig.

Checking in with Musical Madman Seth Pettersen

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

Hear ye! Hear ye! Seth Pettersen is currently on a coast-to-coast tour with Kings of Convenience! The Kings have given Seth and his band Franklin For Short an opening spot to play with them live. Word on the street is that the response from fans has been overwhelming.

Seth’s song, “Baby Buddha”, is being featured in Mick Waters new surf film, “Little Black Wheels“. The song accompanies a segment featuring the “explosive stylings” of Sanuk’s own Dave Rastovich. Another one of Seth’s gems, ”Ride it Out“,  sets the tone for a summertime spot in the film.
